Concierto de despedida GRATUITO de una de las bandas representativas del underground de la ciudad de Montreal: GHOULUNATICS.
BREVE HISTORIA.
Banda montrealense formada en 1994 por PATRICK MIREULT (Gritos), BRIAN CRAIG (Tambores), GARY LIONS (Bajo), PAT GORDON (Guitarra) y FRANCIS DUBOIS (Guitarra). Cuentan en su discografia con 5 largas duraciones (MYSTRALENGINE, CARVING INTO YOU, KING OF THE UNDEAD, SABACHTANY, CRYOGENIE), un disco en vivo (IT’S A LIVE!!!), y un recopilatorio (THE BEST OF) asi como el DVD BLOOD CURDLING YEARS, grabado con 5 camaras en el TROIS-RIVIERES METALFEST 2004.

EL CONCIERTO
Daba inicio el show con DIZZYGOTH, banda de stoner-rock con toques grunge formada por 2 integrantes de los thrashers ANONYMUS los hermanos DAN (DANIEL SOUTO) voz / guitarra, y SKAR (OSCAR SOUTO) voz / bajo y DEMON en la bateria. Siete rolas en 35 minutos, sala a medio llenar, publico animado. Buen inicio.

Continuaria el show con REANIMATOR banda thrashera originaria del barrio L’Assomption (Montreal) cuyo set consistio en rolas de su unica grabacion hasta la fecha, el EP THRASHIN’ THE NEIGHBORHOOD (Galy Records, 2007): RAISING THE DEAD, VENOM OF THE BEAST, BLACK BONES, ROADKILL, BREATHLESS BIRTH, STUCK ON THE SHORES OF HELL, DC PINO. Sala casi llena, algunos metalheads haciendo mosh y headbanging. No mucho que contar, parecia que estabamos escuchando la misma cancion.

Sala a reventar. Todo el personal haciendo brutal slam, energico mosh, stage diving en todo momento. Gritos. Sudor. Hurras. Agradecimientos. Invitados sorpresas (VOIVOD, MARTYR). Llantos (del publico y de la banda). Abrazos. Excelente sonido y juego de luces.

EXCELENTE BANDA, EXCELENTE CONCIERTO!!!
LA ANECDOTA
Una vez terminado el concierto inmediatamente compre los discos SABACTHANY y CRYOGENIE para ver la posibilidad de conseguir los autografos de los GHOULS. Obviamente era imposible acceder al backstage, los de seguridad no dejaban pasar a nadie, pero la frase SOY DE MEXICO, funciono nuevamente jejeje. Uno del crew de la banda me dejo entrar al backstage y vaya sorpresa: ME ENCONTRABA CON TODA LA PANDILLA GHOULUNATICA, EL CREW Y EL BATACO DE VOIVOD: AWAY. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
Lo dicho anteriormente EXCELENTE BANDA, EXCELENTE CONCIERTO!!!
